An interesting article from Om Malik on trends in Google’s acquisition.
I like the notion of “acq-hire”. This reminds me of the different between companies like Lucent or AT&T which have a dedicated research labs, as opposed to Google, Cisco, etc. who bring innovation on-board through acquisition.
